Push for a solution that’s not supported by data

    • This totally depends on context. We should always balance quantitative and qualitative research (data + talking to real humans) when we make decisions.

    • Ask yourself why you want to go against the data?

Is it because of a personal subjective opinion or assumption?

    • What risks are there if you don't go against the data?

Can you clearly articulate why going with this data is the wrong approach?

    • What are the benefits of your alternative approach?

Can you demonstrate the value of the thing you're pushing for?

    • Are you looking at the right data?

Sometimes we pick the wrong things to measure, which can lead to a shitty experience for the people using your design.
